ProClova XL – Broad-Leaved Weed Control for Grass Clover Swards

ProClova XL is a clover-safe herbicide for controlling broad-leaved weeds in both newly sown and established grassland. It supports healthier swards, better forage quality, and improved long-term productivity.

Effective in New Leys

Apply ProClova XL 6–8 weeks after sowing, when grass is tillering and white clover has three trifoliate leaves. At 85g + 165ml per hectare, it controls docks, chickweed, fat-hen, redshank, and red dead nettle. Each pack treats 3 hectares, offering targeted, reliable coverage.

Proven for Established Grassland

In mature swards, use 125g + 250ml per hectare to tackle docks, dandelions, buttercups, plantains, cow parsley, and hogweed. Preserve white clover while achieving excellent weed suppression. Wait 7 days before grazing and 21 days before cutting post-application.

Best Practice Guidelines

• Apply in warm, moist conditions when weeds are actively growing

• Use 200L water/ha at 8–10 kph

• Fit drift-reducing nozzles to minimize off-target drift

• Maintain a 3-meter buffer from all watercourses

Use with Red Clover

Avoid application on red clover in its sowing year. Apply the following spring, after overwintering, once the plant reaches the 3-trifoliate leaf stage. Red clover is more sensitive than white and may require longer to recover.
