The Enniscorthy based business, Buyrite Solutions, opened its farms store just before the first lockdown last March.

While some might have thought the timing was not ideal, according to the business it has experienced growth during the pandemic.

Speaking to this newspaper Joe Rowe, from Buyrite Solutions said: “the lockdowns didn’t affect us very much as we are deemed an essential service to farming and we could remain open. We are very happy with the level of support and the positive reaction we are getting from our customers.”

Farmers that could n’t travel to the business had the option of ordering by phone or online as normal and then have products delivered to them at very competitive prices.

“So the chaos in the country hasn’t really affected us very much, thankfully” said Joe.

Meanwhile his colleague, Pat Doran, said the product range is “very much focused on the livestock farmer, especially the dairy guys.”

“We are all about choice, having options from the brand leader and getting value for your money with quality products” he said.

“While we are a membership based purchasing group, you don’t have to be a member to buy your farming supplies from us” he added.

Pat also revealed a new development that is now happening  “We have expanded our range by taking on the Teemore Engineering livestock handling products. We can now offer a large selection of products from gates, cubicles, mats, drinkers, crushes/handling equipment, feeders and calf equipment”.
